Most parents just hope that their new baby will go to sleep easily and sleep for longer than just a couple of hours at a time.??? You can have one child who quite literally ??sleeps like a baby?? and another who frets and cries their way through the night whilst you, the parent, drag yourself around in a ghost-like state of sleep deprivation for endless weeks and months.??? There seems to be neither??? rhyme nor reason as to why one child is different from another in their sleep patterns;??? and the parent is subjected to the luck of the draw??.But is this really the case???? We know that children have their own individual emotional type, but even so, surely there is SOMETHING that you can do to at least make it more probable that your new baby will sleep well????
???And the answer to this question is definitely YES; there is something that you can do which will ensure the best chance to get your baby sleeping well. Not only is there something that you can do, it??s something that is easy, doesn??t cost much money, and doesn??t take any time out of your day AND it is completely natural.??? Does that sound too good to be true???? As a new mum, or dad, you not only need a good night??s sleep, you deserve it too!
???Think for a moment about how a baby learns anything; they learn through watching, listening, feeling, miming and copying.??? I was interested to see some friends recently, who had taught their one year old son to indicate to them if he wanted to eat, or to get down from the table, or to have a cuddle; He used sign language which he had been taught by his mum and dad.??? Now, you don??t need to know ??proper?? sign language to do this, you can create your own signs, and by using them consistently when doing particular things, your child learns to associate that sign with that action and will use those signs to communicate what he or she needs or wants.??? That??s pretty useful to the parent and gives the child greater feelings of comfort and control.
???The human mind learns patterns of ??stuff?? which fit together; it learns associations.??? And research has shown that this ability to make associations is evident even BEFORE your child is born.??? For example, studies show that babies can distinguish between their mothers voice and another voice from well before birth, and also babies will at birth show greater recognition to particular words and phrases which were used as early as 26 weeks from conception.
???The question is what can you do to take advantage of this natural instinct and encourage your baby to be a good sleeper???? Whilst pregnant your baby lives vicariously through you.??? The more relaxed you are, the more relaxed your baby is too.??? As you listen to a particular piece of music, so too does your baby.??? As you respond in a particular way to that music, so too does your baby.??? Certain types of music are designed to create a state of relaxation, and this can be shown scientifically by tracking your brain wave patterns.??? As you drift off to sleep your brain waves alter from the beta waves of normal waking consciousness to the alpha, theta and delta waves of deeper relaxation, dreaming (the REM state) and sleep.??? A simple step which you can take in order to create an instantaneous relaxation/get to sleep response in yourself, and therefore in the baby you are carrying, is to play this type of music each night as you go to bed and sleep.??? That??s pretty simple, don??t you think???? And you get to learn to relax at will aswell as your baby!
???This technique, however, hasn??t been shown to work for everyone.??? (Even so, it??s worth a try; what have you got to lose?) You can, however, do something else which practically doubles your chances of success (getting you much closer to 100% chance of success) and that is to combine speech with music in a particular way ?? using hypnosis.
???Hypnosis is natural and normal and therefore perfectly safe.??? As you??????relax in hypnosis your brain waves once again make that shift to an alpha-theta pattern, paving a pathway to normal and natural sleep.??? As you practice self hypnosis you drift into this state more and more quickly and easily as a strong association is built within your psyche??and your baby is learning this association vicariously through you.??? And so by playing a self-hypnosis recording each night as you go to sleep you are training your baby to respond to that music and voice in exactly the same way.??? When your baby is born you can pop the recording on whenever you want your baby to sleep.??? Job done!
???Oh, and if your baby has already been born so you haven??t the opportunity for such pre-birth training, you can still???train your baby to sleep well using hypnosis, just as you can train your baby to associate signs with hunger, getting down from the table, cuddles and so on.??? It works in the same way as you learn anything else.

So there is a new baby in your life and
you??d like to purchase a few baby gifts to welcome it into the world.
Perhaps it??s the baby??s first birthday and you??d like to celebrate with
a heart felt present. Well there are several factors that go into
purchasing a fun, safe and economically sound gift for a baby.
First and foremost when you think of a gift the most important factor
should be safety when you are buying for a baby. Safety can mean
several things. First, all today and most baby related items come with
indicators that tell you for what age the product is appropriate. This
is important to pay attention to because the older the age groups the
more intricate and likely the more smaller the pieces of the toy are
likely to be which could cause a choking hazard. When thinking about
toy safety for baby gifts you must also give consideration for toy recalls.
Many toys get recalled every year due to safety issues and there are
many online resources that can help you determine which baby items have
been recalled.
Second, a great baby gift is a gift that helps
to develop motor skills, cognitive skills and intelligence. Many times
these types of educational toys are overlooked for simpler, shinier and
more colorful toys that can do very little to help a child hone and
advance their skills. A well thought out choice for a gift can give the
child years of educational enjoyment. Shop around and avoid picking out
the first thing that catches your eye. Focus on those toys that will
enhance a child??s play time and your gift will be a sure fire success!
Any toy that helps a child develop is usually a good value but once you
determine which toy you would like to purchase, do a little online
research for the quality of that toy. Just because it hasn??t been
recalled doesn??t mean it??s a solid value. Some toys tend to break just
hours after a child gets their hands on it. Not only does this run the
risk of having an upset child it runs the risk of dangers from sharp
corners or small broken pieces that can cause choking. Mommy blog and
children??s toy review sites are all over the Internet. Put a toy??s name
in a search engine and you are sure to find tons of responses from
mothers who have had first hand experiences with the toy you are
interested in. Who??s better to tell you the quality of a toy than a
mother? No one!
Following these tips will help you ensure the baby gifts
you purchase are of high quality that will supply the baby in your life
with hours of enjoyment
, entertainment and education.

The suggestions that follow may seem trivial but they work. It addresses the core reason why some schools do better than others even with all other factors being equal. It is easy when planning a new fundraiser to focus on the wrong things. Here are five of the right things to focus on.
Below you will find five things that a school or group can do that will greatly affect how much money is raised with their new fundraiser:
Step #1 – Profit Percentage Does Not Equal Profits.
A company offering 90% profit vs a company offering 20% profit is not necessarily a better deal for a school. One thing to keep in mind is that banks do not accept deposits of percentage. Every bank I know of accepts only money. Most schools look at profit percentage as the number one priority when choosing what they will pick for their next new fundraiser. What I am saying here does not mean profit percentage is not important, but it should not be the school’s first and only priority when choosing their next new and unique fundraiser. It should be the school’s number one goal to raise the maximum profit possible with the least amount of hassles!
Step #2 – The Product You Sell Does Make a Difference (But Not As Much As You Might Think) Coming up with the right product for your new fundraiser does make a difference, however, it is not the most important factor in having a successful fundraiser. You have probably seen this in your own neighborhood, how two schools decide to sell cookie dough and they both sell them at the same time and the same price. But the difference in their results (Profits) were HUGE! Because of this, you could come to the conclusion that it is not the product which made the difference. So what is it that makes the huge difference? Hint, see Step #5!
Step #3 – Time Your Fundraiser as Early In the School year as Possible
When you kickoff your fundraiser is a very important aspect of it’s success. It is an undiputed fact that the first school who’s sales brochure goes into an office or neighborhood has higher sales than the one that comes last. However, timing is not the #1 reason why schools have successful fundraisers. Hint, see Step #5!
Step #4- Pick a dynamic person to head up your new fundraiser!
The excitement for a fundraiser starts with the person at the top. The person organizing the new fundraiser sets the tone and the level of the excitement and affects participation in the sale. Yes, the fundraising sponsor’s attitude and enthusiasm have a very important role in the outcome of any new fundraiser.
Step #5- Program Management (How the fundraiser is run) is the Number One factor in it’s success.
Program Management is the most important element on having a Successful fundraiser. You may know that “How” the school fundraiser is run is critical to it’s success, but the main problem is not many fundraising companies train the fundraising sponsors on proper “Program Management.”
Following are several key elements on Program Management:
A) Setting Goals for the School
B) A Memorable Kick Off
C) Maintaining Excitement for the Duration of the Sale
D) Finding Helpful Volunteers
E) Motivating the Students/Sellers
F) Motivating the Teachers and Staff members to Promote the Sale.
To get the HIGHEST sales on a new fundraiser the students/sellers must be properly motivated. You can even go so far as to provide motivation for teacher/staff members too.
The main reason why one elementary will make $8,000 while another similar school will make $15,500
, is the way they did their prizes/incentives for students and for their teachers!
We at AIM have a saying “Students could sell $5 bills for $10.00 and do real well if you motivate them good enough.” The most important part of your fundraiser will be to provide incentives that truly motivate your students and teachers to participate in your sale like they have never done before! A measly 15% increase in participation can very easily double the typical school fundraiser. Increasing participation by 15% is not a hard thing to do.

Buying and selling homes is rarely as easy as one might think it is. Many time there are outside circumstances (new job, relocation, retirement, education, family reason) that have caused and is adding pressure to the already stressful job of moving yourself, your family, belongings, and pets to a new abode. There is much to do between the initial announcement of moving and when the big moving day finally arrives ?? like sell the house you are currently in and find another house to make a home.
Actually the first thing to ponder is what kind of new house you are looking for. What do you want and where do you want it? Golf course homes, and golf communities in general have been rapidly gaining in popularity over the recent years. The incredible benefits and community amenities that come with owning a golf course home are often far too tempting to pass up. It is also these perks that make many golf course homes a very goo investment as well. You do not have to be an avid golfer or a die hard Jack Nicklaus fan to appreciate what life inside a golf community could and would be like.
Taking A Swing At Buying And Selling
The question that may now be resounding in your head now is wondering how one can find these spectacular golf course homes and golf communities. You can ask a real estate agent, maybe search home buying web sites like Realtor.com, or perhaps even try your luck with an online search engine and a few key words to look for. But how do you know which golf communities are the best, and which you should be skimming right past? That would require a different set of words and a new investigation.
There goes more of your precious minutes ticking away. Or you could kill two birds with one web site and click yourself over to Putt.com for that one-stop-shopping feel in the real estate market. Aside from detailed descriptions of golf courses and golf course resorts, Putt.com also has a plethora of information on the best golf communities and golf course homes in whatever state you plan to move to. You can see both the beautiful homes, and the equally splendid golfing communities to which you have the opportunity to join.
You may also be on the other side of that ??For Sale?? sign, and are looking to sell your golf course home. A majority of home sellers are relying less on old-fashioned realtors and more on web sites that allow them to act on their own real estate behalf (and keep that six percent that normally goes to the realtors)
, such as Forsalebyowner.com and others. You can also showcase your golf community property on Putt.com and be confident that a multitude of golf lovers pass through this site on a daily basis.

Like any other room in our home, we want our bedrooms to be put-together and stylish. But we also want our bedrooms to be a real heaven, very comfortable and cozy – after all it’s the first and last thing we see every day.
Your bedding is what I call your ‘anchor’ in the room – the largest piece of fabric and the most important pattern in the room. If you want a coordinating, put-together room, you need to make sure your window treatments compliment (they may or may not match) your bedding. You CAN bring your room together whether you’re buying ‘ready-mades’ or ‘custom’.
For the DYI’er.
1. If you’re in the process of shopping for new bedding, I would strongly suggest that you purchase the coordinating window treatments as well. Most often, the retail stores do carry coordinating accessories with their assortment of bedding – so if you’ve already found the pattern that you like, it’s easy to just purchase the whole set. You can always get more information on ready-made curtains at www.CurtainHowTo.com.
2. If you’re happy with the bedding, but unhappy with the type of the window treatments available, you can always purchase them anyway, and then just use the fabric to make up any other window treatment you like (you will be getting into some custom work here)
3. If you’re happy with your current bedding and are looking for just the window treatments here are a couple of tips:
a. Be sure to match the main color pallet from both the bedding and the treatment. Not all colors have to match, but the most prevalent one does.
b. If your bedding is highly patterned, it’s easier to select solid drapes (this works the other way around too).
c. Purchase an extra panel and make up a pillow – even a little touch like this can make a difference. Your local cleaner can make one up for you.
d. If you want to be really audacious, purchase several panels, and use the fabric to make a bed skirt and several pillows or shams. This might be a bit too advanced for a local cleaner and you’ll have to find a seamstress.
4. Purchase an extra panel and use it as a throw at the foot of the bed. While there is nothing wrong with mixing patterns, it will be easier for you to use a solid throw on a patterned comforter (and the other way around).
Custom work.
As with anything with custom, the sky is the limit, but here are your basic considerations:
1. Be sure to select the fabric for your bedding first. It is your anchor and all other elements are derived from it. As such, make sure you really love it!
2. It’s best when your comforter fabric and window treatments fabric do not match. That’s right, I said do not. Because both will use such a large amount of fabric, seeing the same pattern in 75% of your room will just be too much of the same thing. Of course, having said it, some of design is subjective and personal – if you really love it, go for it!
3. Choose at lease three patterns: one main one and two secondary. If you love high pattern and not afraid to try, go for five or six.
4. It will be easier for you to select a solid comforter fabric and use various patterns for pillows and shams.
5. Custom bedrooms look best when completed with a bench at the foot of the bed.
If you’re completing your bedroom through a retail store, there are some simple steps you can take to make your bedroom beautiful, put-together, and on the budget. If you’re making custom treatments
, decide how much risk you’re willing to take with your patterns and what feel you want to accomplish. The designer will help you with selecting the right fabrics.
