Does an extramarital affair automatically lead to divorce?

Many wives, and even husbands, “jump the gun” so to speak, and wonder what the outcome of their marriage will be if they find out that their “gut instinct” is true. If you suspect that your spouse may be cheating on you, your mind may naturally wander to the not-too-distant future, and the “what could be”. However, before you let your mind and emotions take over, and take you into the unfounded world of which you are contemplating, you need to, first of all, verify that your spouse is, in fact, having an extramarital affair.

Identifying an unfaithful spouse

While painful, the first step in healing the wounds over an affair is verifying whether or not the affair is actually taking place. While there are dozens of different signs that your spouse may be exuding that point to them cheating on you — unless you have proof, or a confession, there will always be that lingering doubt in the back of your mind.

Because the unfaithful today use the internet to aide them in their extramarital activities, online infidelity investigation services are the recommended method of either validating your suspicions, or putting them to rest for good.

Avoiding the pitfalls of false accusations

In some cases, the act of falsely accusing your spouse of cheating on you can cause irreparable harm to your relationship. In fact, these accusations may trigger the type of distrust and hurt that cheating on your spouse yourself may cause — accusations can be extremely damaging. For this reason, before you confront your spouse about your suspicions — you need to have undeniable proof that they are, in fact, having an extramarital affair.

How to heal from an extramarital affair

Once you have verified that your spouse has been cheating on you, or did cheat on you in the past — you need to confront them and take an honest look at your feelings. It will take time — yes. You may actually need to separate yourself from your spouse for a season, and maybe even your kids for a short period of time as well. Get away, sort your personal feelings about yourself out, identify what you really want, and then go back to discuss things with your spouse.

Now, there is no denying it — sometimes marriages will not work out after an extramarital affair. However, more times than not, there are ways to keep a marriage together, and even make it even stronger than it was before.

While it is true that extramarital infidelity can wreak havoc on a relationshipBusiness Management Articles, and it certainly can cause walls to go up between couples when an extramarital affair has taken place — an affair does not have to destroy a marriage.

Choosing a Booster Car Seat — How to Ensure Your Child’s Comfort and Safety

March 5th, 2010

If a child is using either a toddler only car seat, or a ‘convertible’ infant/toddler car seat, its time to transition the child into a booster car seat when he or she has outgrown the existing car seat restraints (usually at about 40 pounds), but is not yet ready for just seat belts (the minimum height recommended for a child to start using just seat belts is 4′9″). Booster car seats can typically accommodate a child from 30 to 100 pounds (usually 4 to 8 years of age). Child car seat manufacturers are bound by very strict guidelines, and you may be surprised to find that some of the more expensive car seats don’t provide any better level of protection than those which are more moderately priced.

Many State laws require children to be in a safety car seat only up to age 4 or so, and many parents assume that children who are older than this will be safely restrained by just an adult safety belt. This, however, is not the case. An automobile’s seat belt system is designed for use by adults, not small children, and it usually will not fit a child properly. A booster car seat is designed to improve the fit of the vehicle’s safety belt system across the child’s body, for greater comfort and safety. (A booster car seat should never be positioned in front of an air bag, as deployment of the bag can cause serious (even fatal) injuries to a child.)

Booster car car seats are available with either a “high back” or a “low back”. High back car seats should always be used in cars without headrests, or with low seats, both to provide the child with a comfortable place to rest his or her head, and to provide protection against “whiplash” in an accident. Low back car seats are generally cheaper than high back car seats, and are easier to move from car to car, but should only be used in cars with headrests and high seat backs.

High back car seats are often available with a 5 point harness (when car seats are not being used with a harness, they are considered being used in the “belt positioning” mode). Using a harness is generally the safest way to restrain a child, and it is recommended that, if a harness is used, it be used until the child outgrows it (usually at about 40 pounds). There are also ‘convertible’ toddler/booster child car seats available. These car seats can be used for children from the time they are ready to start using a toddler car seat until they are ready to start using just the car seats belts.

Booster car seats are designed to raise the child up so that the lap and shoulder seat belts fit properly. Belt positioning car seats must always be used with a car’s lap and shoulder belt (never with a lap only belt). The car seat will raise a child so the lap belt goes over the child’s pelvis and hips (instead of his or her abdomen), and the shoulder belt crosses the middle of the child’s chest and shoulder (the car seat may have a clip that can be adjusted to ensure that the shoulder belt does not cross the child’s face or neck).

How Reverse Phone Directories Began

March 5th, 2010

Do you know what a Reverse Phone Lookup Service is?

A reverse phone directory is simply a backwards sort of phone book or listing.

In a standard phone book or listing, both online and off, a phone number or address is found by looking up an individual or business name. However, in a reverse phone directory, a name or address is found by looking up a phone number!

Not A Product Of The Internet!

A lot of folks think that reverse phone services began with the internet – not so.

Telephone companies in the United States have been providing certain institutions with printed reverse phone directories for many decades. These printed directories were provided to police departments, other law enforcement offices, and public libraries.

In this period, if you knew the existence of such directories, you could possibly ask for them at the local library.

As record keeping and data gradually became available electronically, and subsequently, more and more accessible, the reverse phone directory services we see online today were born.

New technology for new technologies

Coupled with the widespread uses of cell phones as a primary number and the availability of caller ID to almost everyone, the technology of reverse phone lookups began to breed controversies regarding privacy laws. Information on landlines has been available for a long time buy using various directories, including the 411 service directory.

Although people could request not to be listed in such directories, and sometimes can pay a fee to remove their listing, landline information has been easy to get for many years.

Cell phone information has been harder to get, however. Many companies supported the creation of a 411 directory for cell phone numbers, but outcry from consumers and consumer protection organizations have put a stop on this type of thing.

The fact that no public reverse number directory or lookup directory for cell phone numbers exists makes the fee based directories very popular. For many people, paying the small fee to use a reverse lookup directory to find information is well worth it, because the information is not readily available anywhere else.

Why Do People Use Them?

People now use reverse lookup directories online for a variety of reasons. This includes searching for long-lost family members and friends, finding the source of an annoying prank call or telemarketer callArticle Search, or even confirming address or other information related to a telephone number.

These databases are simply telephone listing sites and are completely legal.

A Good Gift Idea – Helping the Homeless

March 3rd, 2010

Many mayors have 10-year plans to end homelessness and had reported progress until this year. The most recent official count, in January 2007, found 671,888 people living on U.S. streets or in shelters, down 12% from January 2005.Other factors have been higher food and fuel prices hitting families with “no cushion,” says Nan Roman of the National Alliance to End Homelessness

Did you know that 90% of them need a new, warm coat each winter because they have no place to keep one? We need to not only help the homeless children but also the growing number of single moms; thousands of single moms are forced to make a choice between buying shoes or a winter coat or blankets and putting food on the table, or meeting other basic survival needs.

Each winter, many companies collect new, used, and gently used winter coats and distributes them to hundreds of men, women, and children who would otherwise go without. One company delivered the coats as part of our Halloween festival to the Seven Bridges Shelter in Smyrna enlisting several Brownie Girl Scouts to help. Since the demand is so great we are continuing with coat drives for November and December. It was a great event for the children who celebrated Halloween and got a new coat and were able to keep their pride and self esteem.

There are so many ways to help. What a perfect gift idea – helping the homeless and giving Uncle Bert a great cup of coffee.

How you can help:

Buy Some Coffee: purchase a friend a Christmas gift – the ultimate coffee gift basket: many coffee companies now offers nice gift baskets, monthly coffee delivery, a nice assortment of coffee and a coffee club and give the proceeds to help children. Fair trade coffee also helps children in foreign countries. Purchase someone a nice gourmet coffee gift and all the profits will go to a homeless child. If you join the coffee club you can help year round as will the monthly coffee club.

If you like get your church or corporation to buy the coffee on a larger scale and help the entire homeless shelter. If they buy enough coffee they can even decide where the money goes and they can help homeless children of their choice. Do you think their clients would like to receive a nice holiday basket of coffee knowing they have helped some homeless children in the process? Or you can honor your client with a donation in their name to the Jars of Clay or Seven Bridges Shelter.

Buy a homeless child a new coat or pair of shoes. For ten dollars you can buy a pair of shoes or a coat for a homeless child and we will deliver it directly for you. Amazing for only a mere $300 you can provide shoes for an entire shelter.

Donate a coat – Please round up your extra blankets and jackets and take them to a nearby shelter. Even better yet have a neighborhood coat drive or a company coat drive enlisting your fellow employees to get involved and bring their coats in. But be the leader and motivator and inspire people to help.

Make a financial donation – Providing so many coats each winter, as well as our year-round projectsArticle Submission, requires an enormous amount of resources. Your donation will help us ensure that every Atlanta who needs a warm coat this year has one.

How satisfying will that cup of coffee taste knowing who it has helped.

4 Things You Must Know when Decorating Your Windows

March 3rd, 2010

If you’re like most homeowners, you’ll be undertaking at least one redecorating project this year. You’ll be glad to hear that redecorating doesn’t involve moving or erecting new walls, major installations, or huge regutting of the house. What does it involve? Here’s an abbreviated list:

1. painting

2. getting new flooring

3. purchasing new furniture

4. adding accessories

5. changing window treatments

Here is a list of the 4 Things You Must Know When Doing Window Treatments.

1. Soft vs. Hard. Blinds and shades are considered hard treatments – they provide privacy, cut the sun glare (think football games), and protect furnishings. Soft window treatments are usually done for aesthetic reasons only, adding color and texture to your room. The two are fairly independent of each other. You may want to do one, or the other, or both. Decide what it is.

2. Budget. You’ve probably been asked this question before, and like many, hate it. You want the best thing that you need and like for the least amount of money. In other words, you want value for your money. Right? OK. So to give you a guideline, here is a break-down of what to expect. There are 3 levels at which you can invest in window treatments, all based on a 4′ wide single pane window.

a. Hard treatments ~ $100-$500. Shades and blinds are not created equal. Some are made of plastic and others of fabric – hence the price difference. Some come with regular cord lift and some with fancier ones.

b. Soft treatments ~ $250-$1500. Store-bought panels and valances will be on the lower side of this range.

c. $1500+ ~ custom and elaborate soft treatments. These are for you if you have discerning taste, want something specific, have an unusual window, and are looking for something more special.

3. Measurements. Like any measurements, window measures need to be accurate. If they are not, do you really want to deal with schlepping back to the store to make the return? Will the internet site (if you purchased on-line) accept the return without the restocking fee? Will it look right and do justice to the room? If you’re not comfortable handling the tape, it pays to get a professional. Or look on-line for proper measuring techniques.

4. Know your options. This one is big! There are so many options and ideas. Don’t settle for the first thing you see at the store. Also, don’t feel like you have to do the same thing in every room.

Whether you’re doing your window treatments custom or off-the shelf, keep in mind that they are a HUGE part of your redecorating project and feeling in the room. Make sure to do them right. Once done properlyFree Reprint Articles, you don’t have to worry about them for a long time. Nor do you have to regret or wonder if you did the right thing.

Double Your New Fundraiser Using 4 Basic Fundraising Fundamentals

March 2nd, 2010

Copyright (c) 2008 AIM Fundraising

For many years fundraising has been one important way for youth sports leagues, cheerleaders, school fundraisers and other not for profit groups to fund their programs. This will continue to be the case. When planning your new fundraiser there are some basic considerations that must be be taken into account to ensure that it is profitable.

Event

Choose a type of event that coincides with your type of group and your fundraising goals. If your youth soccer team needs new nets for the field, then the cost involved should be relatively small. In this case a car wash, a soccer-thon, or other simple fundraising event will do. If on the other hand you need to raise thousands of dollars for a senior trip you might need to consider fundraisers such as teddy bear fundraisers, cookie dough fundraisers, or any number of other unique fundraising ideas. When the needs are larger, it may be time to consider raising money over a few different programs and times of the year. Your specific needs will dictate the type of new fundraiser idea you should be considering.

Volunteers

Never over look the hidden talents or things that might be of interest to your group. For instance, you would not want to ask the football players to do a teddy bear fundraiser. While that might be a unique fundraiser, you probably will not have a huge sale simply because those boys are not going to be that enthused about them. Now, if what you are planning is a cheerleader fundraiser, or a new fundraiser for little kids or an all girl group, then a teddy bear fundraiser should work just fine.

Choosing The Right Fundraising Product

After first taking into consideration the interest of your volunteer force, you will also want to consider the attractiveness of your fundraising product itself. Right now, in America, the number one product in fundraising is frozen food, specifically frozen cookie dough. There are many varieties of frozen cookie dough available, but hands down the top two are the Otis Spunkmeyer brand and Chippery cookie dough.

Once a frozen product has been sold in your neighborhood however, you are forced to find a new fundraiser that will be “the next best thing. This is where it gets sort of interesting. I could fill a couple of hundred pages on this subject alone. There are so many things that must be considered when trying to come up with this “new fundraiser.” Things like the type of group you have, the age range of your group, the time of year. The list could go on. There are products however that have stood the test of time and consistently make groups the money they need. There are in fact some new fundraiser products that I can see will be giving frozen products a push off of the mountain top.

Some of the old standards like Christmas wrap, candles and various gift items have truly stood the test of time. There are some new fundraisers like teddy bear fundraisers and Interstate Batteries that are making a showing now to displace the old tried and true fundraisers.

Given that the scope of this article does not include how to properly choose that new fundraiser, I would simply say at this point that it would be wise to consult a professional fundraising company for that advice.

Don’t Let Your Ego Get In The Way

In the quest for new fundraiser ideas, it is important to keep in mind that there are some things that you may initially think will or will not work. Many times we are inclined to pick our new fundraisers based on our own personal likes and dislikes. The thought process goes, I would not buy that product line so it must be a loser of a fundraiser. If this were the only thing to consider about what works in the marketplaceArticle Submission, the would be no Starbucks or Seatle’s Best Coffee. I hate coffee! There would also be a Sears on every corner and whoever thought that putting a retractable wheel in the bottom of a shoe would be a big deal?

When planning for any new fundraiser it is important to consider some basic options to help you decide which fundraising product is the right one for your group. The best way to proceed is really to get out of the way and go with what works.

Automatic Swimming Pool Cleaners – Tips For Choosing

March 2nd, 2010

Let’s go swimming! Wait, the pool is a mess, who wants to clean and vacuum the pool first? Is this the time to purchase an automatic swimming pool cleaner? If the answer is yes, here are a few options which are available today.

SUCTION SIDE CLEANERS – These types of automatic cleaners operate off the suction side of your filter pump. No additional pump is needed. These cleaner typically connect into the plumbing of the pool either through a separate line on the side of the pool or through the piping of the skimmer. The amount of suction which goes to the cleaner is usually controlled by a valve which would be located in the area of the pool equipment and could also be controlled with valves and accessories which are supplies with the cleaner. There are many different types of units available, some ride around on plastic feet, small pads and some cruise around in the pool on brushes. The dirt and debris which is picked up is deposited in the pump basket and in the pool filter for removal.

Also available for pools which collect a large amount of leaves, separate leaf canisters which collect the debris before the pump and filter (Installed inline in the hose which floats in the pool).

PRESSURE SIDE CLEANERS – These types of cleaners operate much like the suction side cleaner except that these types of cleaners require a separate high pressure pump to operate. This pump would be installed next to the pool pump and filter and requires a separate plumbing line installed back to the pool. Cleaners of this type typically have a bag which collects the dirt and debris from the pool. Once the bags are full the cleaner is removed from the pool, the bag removed and emptied.

ELECTRIC CLEANERS – The third type of automatic cleaner operates independently of the existing pool system. These units have a long power cord attached to a low voltage transformer which plugs into a 110 volt outlet. These types of cleaners move around the pool collecting debris and dirt, depositing it into a bag or cartridge with is usually attached tot he cleaner unit housing. These units typically are used on an as needed basis and removed from the pool water when they are not in use.

All three types of cleaners function well and remove the dirt and debris from your swimming pool. Research all the styles, models and brands available and make your choice. Enhance the Character of the Room – Wall Sconce

March 1st, 2010

In all my years of interior decorating I have seen almost everything there is available to decorate inside walls. When it comes to the little touches of wall decor that add something special to the overall theme of the room, the wall sconce is always an addition that enhances the character of the room.

There is no excuse to have an empty wall anywhere in your house. With all the style options you have the opportunity to express yourself and display your creative personality.

All lighting inside a building that is not exposed to outside weather conditions is known as interior lighting. Wall sconces are fixtures that have only one light. Functionality and style to fit the theme of the room is what you are looking for.

It creates a welcoming atmosphere with its illumination, color and design. It can provide soft romantic lighting or bright enough lighting to read by. It fits in wherever space is needed and provides that decorative touch that we all desire.

It will even make your room larger than it is. Another great feature of the wall sconce is that it is capable of highlighting other artwork or function as a gentle aura of light to accent features of the room such as your fireplace. This will also direct the eyes to the spot you want yourself and others to notice.

You can easily mount the sconces to your wall with little or no installation needed. There might be a need for installation when it comes to electric sconces, but by adding a dimmer switch you will be able to save on your electric bill. You can also have Candle Wall Sconces in any size, color or scent that you wish.

Dating back to early America, the candle holder wall sconce was the sole way of lighting a room. Today wall sconces are in use in every room of the home and on the outside walls as well. One of my friends actually has a water system that the candles float in and lights up their patio.

To brighten up the room you should try votive or taper wall sconces. For a soft romantic mood and feel try tea light candles to set up the atmosphere for the night ahead.

My niece has a couple of toddlers and purchased several of these because they are high enough up on the walls to be child proof. I have been told by her over and over again how much more comfortable she is with wall sconces instead of floor lighting with power cords lying on the floor.

There are so many styles to choose from such as Victorian, Colonial, Contemporary and Western. There are also many materials to choose from like copper, metal, wrought iron, glass, ceramic and others.

This is something that will stay within almost any budget. Inexpensive and expensive styles are all available and you will not be able to tell the difference. Only your wallet will know for sure.

At one time the only place to see these in were hallways and corridors, but not today. If you want to create a Wow factor with direct or indirect lightingArticle Submission, you can’t lose with the Wall Sconce.
